Ingredients-
All-purpose flour- 1 cup
Milk powder- 1/3 cup
Baking Powder- 1 tsp
Baking soda- 1/2 tsp
Powder sugar- 1/2 cup
Orange juice- 1/4 cup
Oil- 1/4 cup
Milk- 1/2 cup
Orange zest- 1 tsp
Method-
*Preheat any vessel (Bhagona) or KadaiCooker on low flame for 10 mins,
and Oven/Microwave convection oven at 180c for 10 mins.
* Ready to 6-inch cake mold, brush some oil on the mold, and line the parchment paper in the bottom or dust some dry flour and coat with mold, remove the extra flour. Keep aside.
* Take a mixing bowl, add 1/4 cup orange juice, 1/4 cup cooking oil (flavorless), 1/2 cup powder sugar (Grind home sugar to a fine powder).
* Mix them till frothy and light with the help of a whisk for 5 mins.
* Now place a sieve into the bowl and add 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1/3 cup milk powder (instead condensed milk in same quantity), 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda. Sieve them.
*First, Mix the wet and dry ingredients into the spatula till wet ingredients mix completely.
* Pour 1/2 cup of milk (at room temperature) slowly and mix them, apply cut & fold method. Make a batter smooth and lump-free.
* Ensure the batter consistency like semi-thick and perfect ribbon.
* Add a few drops of orange color and 1 tsp orange zest and mix them for a few minutes. The cake batter is ready.
* Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin. Tape it to remove air bubbles.
* Place the cake tin in the preheated vessel/Kadai/Cooker (remove whistle and gasket) Oven.
* Bake the cake for 40 mins in the preheated vessel/Kadai/Cooker and bake in the oven at 180cfor 35-40 mins.
* After 40 mins check the cake with the skewer, insert in the center of the cake, its comes clean and dry it means cake baked.
* Remove it and allow it to cool completely. To avoid the hard part to the top, cover it with damp clothes. The cake top will be moist and soft for a long time.
* Serve the cake with tea and coffee or decorate with frosting for any occasions like birthday/kitty party/anniversary/ congrats moments.
